My Top 5 Collections from Paris Fashion Week

Paris, France is filled with the most amazing art and most creative styles. As usual, almost all of the collections were beautifully executed to say the least, but there were some that truly stood out to me. My top 5 favorite designers for PFW fall/winter 2014-2015:

1. Balenciaga
This collection is a futuristic approach to the classic woman. With an embroidered leather coat, thigh high leather boots, a perfect amount of fur, Alexander Wang created a collection that was true to himself but also to the brand.

2. Balmain
This collection was inspired by Rihanna and contained a very safari, tribal look whilst still very elegant and a tad vintage. The leather skirt almost looks like roman armor but paired with a long sleeve knit, it's a fierce but feminine collection.

3. Barbara Bui
Masculine tops and flowing wide-legged trousers over turtle necks and pointed platform boots is layering at its finest. This has the perfect balance between minimalist and bold shapes.

4. Isabel Marant
Isabel Marant chose a military theme for inspiration as it shows with the olive greens and prints similar to camo, it's army chic. The rounded trench coat with a striped pattern paired with fur booties has a Native American or Alaskan feel to it. Marant never disappoints.

5. Vionnet
One of my new favorite designers, Vionnet does fall with bright accents instead of the usual dark colors. The Grecian inspired gown works very well in a pinstriped pattern and definitely belongs on the red carpet.
